Rick Turner Renaissance RN6
2003 Rick Turner Renaissance RN6
A winning design from Rick Turner, the Renaissance RN6 has a great-sounding 18v pickup system while providing enough unplugged volume to still provide acoustic utility. Its full nut width will also be a welcome detail to some. Also nice for this era, it has a set of Gilbert tuners installed.

Condition / Setup Notes
Very Good; The guitar remains in great shape in that there is limited general wear, but there are two cracks in the top; the interior side has shielding paint applied, and there is no split apparent, so it’s possible it is just in the surface. Currently set up with string height about 2.5mm to 2mm from bass to treble, with just a touch of relief. This guitar has a truss rod, so the relief is adjustable.
***
The RN6 is a great design, offering an electric nylon string with a wide nut that will still feel familiar for those seeking a classical neck feel. While it excels amplified, it still provides a satisfying enough sound unplugged and is a versatile instrument. Nice also are the Gilbert tuners, which are now over $400 for this particularly configured set.
