Condition / Setup Notes
Excellent; in considering the age and nature of the guitar, it would be considered to be in excellent condition. It remains crack-free, and shows only various handling and finish wear. It is in marvelous shape for being now over 100 years old. The fret ends protrude slightly and can be felt. The main case latch is no longer functioning, and although two remain it is recommended to use straps to secure the case lid.
***
A beautiful and historic guitar from one of the most celebrated luthiers of the 20th century. It’s survived its 100+ years without any cracks, and only modest wear otherwise. Lovely details, like the tuning mechanism of the sub bass strings. The craftsmanship generally is a sight to behold, made with the materials and skills to last generations. A nice detail, the back is comprised of just one piece.
