Bosquet Style A Stage Nylon String
2025 Bosquet Style A Stage Nylon String Crossover
I met Ryosuke Kobayashi, the luthier behind Bosquet Guitars, toward the end of 2024, and since then we've been in touch regularly about nylon string guitar designs. I've been grateful for all the conversation we've been able to have, and this is the first in a series of guitars that we hope to develop. The goal for this Style A was to create a nylon string guitar that is contemporary, with an eye toward the needs of performers.

Condition / Setup Notes
New; The guitar has never been owned, but it's possible the slightest signs of use may exist from shows and photography. String height currently about 2.5mm to 2.0mm from bass to treble, with just a touch of relief. This guitar has a two way adjustable Tatsuta Titanium rod, so the relief can be adjusted to taste.
***
The guitar is such a joy to behold before playing a single note. The visual details abound, and one can't help but notice the skillful execution of each part from the sculpted headstock and bridge, down to the rounded fret ends and fine treatment of the back braces. A nice selection also is the Baljak tuners, which are no longer in production.
The bridge is especially of note, a unique 19-hole design. There are several things going on here. First, 18 holes along the edge of the bridge allow for a string tying system that protects against slippage, and also allows for a cleaner look that doesn't require strings to be looped in front of a tie block. The 19th hole on the side allows for stringing both right or left handed. Perhaps most noteworthy of the design is the vertically aligned holes that offer two choices for break angle at the saddle, which subtly affect the tension and feel.
The "bendaway" is also a notable feature on this guitar, inspired by Mitsuhiro Uchida, who Ryosuke knows personally. It's an exquisite neck joint, with an almost seamless heel. It joins at the 15th fret, and there is unhindered access all the way to the last frets. Form meets function beautifully here. Check this out.
To meet the performance aspect, the Go Acoustic pickup system has been selected for this guitar. In addition to a pleasing sound achieved with a mic blend component, the system is designed to be resistant to feedback in higher volume environments. A poly finish was decided here also for durability in considering stage use.
This is a guitar that just needs to be seen and played.
