John Page JPK AJ
c2014 John Page JPK AJ
A bit of a rarity among the John Page lineup, the JPK was made in Japan by the highly respected Deviser company. These were not the same as the “classic” line that was also at one point made in Japan, and are more upscale in the materials and construction. This one for example features a very nicely figured quilted maple top, ash body, and Madagascar rosewood fingerboard. This one is in the AJ body style.

***
A step up in appointments from the “classic” line that was once made in Japan, with a quilted maple top and ash body both finished in an attractive blue, and notably a Madagascar rosewood fingerboard. The headstock is also in a matching blue quilted maple. These JPK guitars are fairly unusual, and say “John Page Guitars” on the headstock. The current website FAQ states that guitars that say “John Page Guitars” are made by Page himself, but this short Deviser run seems to be the exception. Beautifully and skillfully made, and possibly even rarer than the other iterations of the JP lineup.
