***
One of the rarer Turner creations, as a nylon string Model 1, and with these attractive and cohesive design choices. The burl top and back are immediately eye-catching, and set off nicely with the vivid abalone borders along the top, back, and headstock. The piece used for the truss rod cover is exquisitely figured, and a complement to the scalloped nut. The Gilbert tuners are also a thoughtful touch, beautiful and smoothly turning, another well-selected component. Even the frets, gold, offer a subtle tie-in. This is one of those guitars that its sheer looks may win you over, but quite a guitar it also is. The pickups are RMC hexaphonic, and there is a standard 1/4β output that can be used along with a 13 pin. Controls involve volume / tone for standard amplification, a volume control for synth access, a switch to select standard / synth / blend, and a switch to select synth banks with the appropriate hardware. This one checks a lot of boxes, a comprehensively nice guitar.
