A very nice classical crossover CL-M from Tupli Guitars in Japan. The luthier behind Tupli is Akio Nambu, who first worked at Asturias guitars before striking out on his own.

Condition / Setup Notes
Excellent; Despite its very thin finish there is only light wear present, with a small dent on the back and binding being the most conspicuous (last picture). Otherwise it’s quite clean overall. Currently set up to play easily with string height about 2.5mm to 2mm from bass to treble, with a very straight neck.

This is a nice nylon string with a personality and identity all its own. Tupli guitars cut a nice distinctive figure with its deep cutaway, and also identifiable by the Zarame inlays in the tie block and rosette. And of course the German spruce top stands out also with the bear claw figuring. Other nice details include binding and purfling on the fretboard, which is nice for a nylon string, and Gotoh Premium carbon fiber tuners. This one is also a bit special in that it has an Enfini Custom Works pickup system, which includes a gooseneck condenser along with contact mics. The guitar can be amplified with the contact mics as is with a standard cable, but it would be advisable to use a preamp to boost its signal. To unlock its highest potential, it would require a stereo cable and a preamp that can blend signals and also provide ~5v of phantom power.
