Parker Fly Hardtail Stealth

2000 Parker Fly Hardtail Stealth

This is a rarer variant of the Parker Fly, a Hardtail model named the “Stealth.” What sets it apart is the basswood / basswood combo for the body and neck, along with the grey textured finish. Not mentioned often enough, the nuts on these are textured as well in a similar way to the body finish. In beautiful shape and with the original hard case. Also includes a spare Sperzel “D Thing” tuner. Notably lightweight, at about 4.6lbs.

***

Not too many of these Stealth models were made, and this one has survived its 25 years in remarkable condition. It’s also a very nice example of a Parker Fly; notably lightweight, easy playability (Autocorrect, as if knowing this, just tried to change that to “flyability”), and versatility of tone between the DiMarzios and the Fishman system. The textured finish looks great on the Fly body, and the neck has a nice feel from the slight texture also. The nut is sculpted in a similar pattern to the body, which is another appealing feature of this model. And with the original hard case, this one is for the Parker fan looking to round out that collection.
