David Thomas McNaught DTM Gemini

c.1999 David Thomas McNaught Gemini

Only a handful of these were ever made, and the older discontinued models with the original headstock are now quite rare. Especially in this condition. In an eye-catching tiger eye finish over a beautifully quilted maple top.

Condition / Setup Notes

The guitar remains in excellent(+), with minimal wear, if any. For its age and rarity, I’m hard pressed to find a notable flaw, other than some tarnishing of hardware and only the slightest hints of emerging fret wear. Set up nicely and playing easily with a low string height and minimal relief.

***

I still remember when these guitars were just coming out, and the Gemini and Tempest models really caught my eye. They are still very cool! I believe only 10 or so Gemini were made, and this one has a striking top, and is in a condition that is hard to find for a guitar that’s over 25 years old. I suspect this one was hardly played, which must have been difficult given how nicely it plays and sounds.
