2022 Kz One Air Brazilian Rosewood Top

A unique offering from Kz Guitars in Japan, the One Air. Designed for good volume unplugged in casual use, it is largely a hollow body guitar, with the body carved out entirely except for two sections that anchor the bridge. This particular one has a Brazilian rosewood ply top, along with an original design single coil pickup. The fingerboard is made from Madagascar rosewood, another premium material choice.

Condition / Setup Notes

The guitar remains in excellent condition(+) condition, with minimal wear to be found. The plastic is still on the back plate.Setup currently with string height from about 4/64”-3/64”, just a touch of relief. The neck is a slightly on the chunkier side.

I find this to be a successful and eye-catching design. It delivers on the intent to be an electric guitar that is also satisfying to play unplugged in more casual settings. I also like that it has locking tuners. The materials also are quite nice, with material choices like the Brazilian rosewood ply for the top, and Madagascar rosewood fingerboard. I’d point out the gig bag here also, which has substantial padding, a neck cradle, and many compartments. The handle is solid and stands out, as does the ability to tuck away the straps for a clean look and ease of handling. A very cool and unique guitar from Japan.
