1995 Gibson Lucille BB King 70th Anniversary

This is a pretty rare iteration of the BB King Lucille, presented in a limited edition to commemorate BB King’s 70th birthday. It features special fingerboard inlays, as well as a truss rod cover engraving of “70 years.”

Condition / Setup Notes

The guitar remains in excellent condition despite its many years and the unforgiving black finish, and shows only light signs of use. There is a small series of marks by the bridge pickup that is not conspicuous, and there are some typical steps that can be felt between the binding and body finish. Light scratching on pick guard. Tarnishing of pickup covers. Currently set up with string height about 4/64”-3/64”, with light relief. There is currently a standard tailpiece installed, although the original with fine tuners is also included.
