Patrick James Eggle Berlin Deluxe

1990s Patrick James Eggle Berlin Deluxe

The Berlin Deluxe was a top tier model, and this one is especially nice in that it has a single-piece quilted top with beautiful figure.

Specs / Measurements

  • 1990s

  • Single-piece quilt maple top / maple body

  • Ebony fingerboard with leaf inlays at twelfth fret

  • ~1.67” nut

  • ~25” string length

  • ~2.05” string spacing at saddle

  • Eggle Humbuckers

  • Volume / Tone / 3-way switch / coil tap mini switch

  • Wilkinson VS100CV Trem

  • Sperzel locking tuners

  • Original Eggle-branded hard case

Condition / Setup Notes

Excellent; The guitar shows hardly any wear for its age, and presents very cleanly. The truss rod cover is included although removed in pictures. The electronics have been modified, with the original 3-way switch knob being replaced with a tone knob (the knob itself has some cracks by the shaft), although the original knob / switch is still included. A mini switch has been added, which appears to be a coil tap; only the bridge and middle pickup positions are attached to the coil tap switch. The tremolo is a Wilkinson VS100CV, convertible. It’s currently set up to achieve three half-steps pulling up. String height is currently about 4/64”-3.5/64” from bass to treble, with light relief.

***

A really nice electric guitar. This was one of their premium offerings at the time, and is a cut above with its single-piece quilted maple top. A nicely figured one at that.
