A very rare limited NYSS-3B from the Crews era of D’Angelico. It appears only 12 in total of these were made, with each one having a different compliment of woods and colors. Each of the 12 were unique, making this particular one one-of-a-kind.

Condition / Setup Notes
Excellent- / Very Good+. The guitar is fairly clean overall considering its age. There is a small chip on the headstock and a pin size spot in the neck. Some wear / tarnishing in the pickup covers, pick marks in pickguard. Some worming / buckle rash in the back that is very light and inconspicuous with the grain. Light wear in the frets. Other light signs of handling. Current string height is about 4/64”-3/64” from bass to treble, with a touch of relief.

Such a cool offering from D’Angelico! The color contrast between the blue flamed maple rims and the darker burl back and sides, is quite striking. The figuring of the top and back is also eye-catching. Aside from the aesthetics it sounds and plays very nicely, which is not surprising given that this model has been the choice of professionals like Kurt Rosenwinkle. It is also a very rare guitar, one-of-a-kind in this color / wood combo, and part of a limited run of only 12 pieces in total each with different and singular specs.
