Excellent; the guitar is overall in very clean shape, with only light surface wear and a string dent below the high e at the bridge. Setup with low string height about 2.25mm-1.75mm from bass to treble, and minimal relief. There is a truss rod in this guitar, so the relief is adjustable.

***

I’m always searching for interesting nylon strings, and the EG1500C is a very cool production guitar that checks a lot of boxes. The neck dimensions themselves will appeal to many, with a shorter 628mm string length and a 46mm nut, which offers a bit of extra width. Although its primary use will likely be for use with sound reinforcement, it has a good sound unplugged and is a versatile guitar. In addition to its sound and functional use, it’s a nice departure aesthetically from the usual “crossover” style nylon string. I love the thick celluloid purfling and the tortoise binding sets things off nicely. The contoured top and back cuts a unique figure, and the sides almost have a twisted look that is pleasing. For this limited premium release, the Brazilian rosewood ply back is dramatically figured and with a line of sapwood down the middle. The pairing with Birdseye maple is a creative contrast, and the top too is striking with generous bear claw figure. A beautiful creation from the craftsman at Crews Maniac Sound based in Japan.
