Zucq Giulia Nylon Crossover
2013 Zucq Giulia Nylon Crossover
A very nice specimen from the Zucq custom shop in Japan, a crossover nylon string. It has a bit more width on the nut than a typical crossover, which will be appreciated by some. High quality materials throughout, featuring a German spruce top and Madagascar rosewood with beautiful color.

***
As is often the case with guitars from small workshops in Japan, the craftsmanship stands out and the materials on this one are quite nice (especially at this price point). This quality of Madagascar rosewood is getting scarce, and this set displays beautiful color. The sides are particularly nice with tight straight grain. The top is German spruce with good silking. The pop of color from the green top purfling is a nice touch. The guitar sounds great both acoustically, and amplified with the Baggs Anthem system. It is versatile in terms of styles, and has a nice vibe for latin / jazz. At about 49mm at the nut, some will also appreciate that it has a bit more width than a more typical crossover design.
