A distinctive and uniquely configured acoustic archtop made by veteran luthier Victor Baker. In addition to the oval hole placed in the upper bout, the materials set this one apart too, with a cedar top, myrtle back and sides, and bubinga appointments. Beautifully carved, with a satisfying acoustic voice.

Excellent(+); The guitar remains in beautiful shape, with no wear to reasonably report. Currently set up with string height about 5/64” to 4/64” from bass to treble, with minimal relief. Playing nicely.

There’s a lot to love about this archtop, which is unique in its construction and material choices. It’s such a pleasure to play, hear, and look at. Always nice with carved guitars, the foundation is laid by its strong acoustic character, and it allows for much versatility and range in use. Perhaps based on the sound hole shape and placement, there’s a pleasant and more present bass response. The guitar satisfies in the most intimate contexts as a solo acoustic instrument, and the sound is still there when amplified in higher volume situations. A nice all-around guitar, with a visual beauty that can really be appreciated because it functions first as an inspiring musical instrument with a distinctive voice.
