Condition / Setup Notes

Excellent(-), It presents fairly cleanly overall in considering its age and rarity. While there may be spare signs of handling, there is only one ding that is really of note (pictured). This model has a shelf built in to the F-hole where a sound hole plug can rest without falling in. The original plug is not included. The current setup is a nice and easy 4/64”-3/64” from bass to treble, with just a touch of relief. It’s playing nicely.

***

Although a laminate electric, it puts out a satisfying acoustic sound as well. It really sings plugged in. The design is so winning from an aesthetic point of view as well, I especially like the single f-hole look along with the headstock. The tortoise binding was a great choice to set things off nicely. I also don’t know that I’ve ever seen the shelf built into the sound hole that creates a space for a plug. A very nice and rare guitar, designed by the late Taku Sakashta.
