Jazz Guitar Designs Taku Sakashta Master Model 16 Archtop

c2000s Jazz Guitar Designs Taku Sakashta Master Model 16 Archtop

Perhaps the next best thing after a Taku Sakashta archtop, and maybe just as rare: a Jazz Guitar Designs Master Model 16 archtop. The brand was founded by noted luthier Taku Sakashta, and his designs were executed by the craftsman at T’s Guitars in Japan.

Condition / Setup Notes

Excellent; There is only minimal surface wear, largely needing raking light to reveal. The most notable is a small ding in the top. There are finish checks here and there when looking with raking light. The saddle piece has been replaced with a tuneomatic. Currently set up nicely with string height about 4/64” to 3/64” from bass to treble, and a touch of relief.

***

Very high cool factor on this one. These JGD guitars were designed by Taku Sakashta, and made by T’s Guitars. Eye-catching unique aesthetics, and a beautiful sound both acoustically and unplugged. This one has a particularly nicely figured back.
