***
Originality can be a hard thing to achieve effectively, but this Infinitum does so with flair. The shape takes inspiration from the infinity symbol, and there are three sound holes (two in the top, one in the back) that are seamlessly integrated into its form. Even the tuner knobs have been carved to echo the theme with its delicate twist. The woods are quite exotic, comprised of timbers local to New Zealand, which the builder noted as being particularly rare; Kahikatea, and Black Maire. On the inside, there is a carbon fiber bracing system that runs along the top and extends from the tail block to the heel block. Its sound is as unique as its looks, and its one of those instruments that can inspire new ideas because of this, and pull the player in unexpected directions. A beautifully made and conceived guitar, and a welcome reminder that the guitar continues to evolve still.
