Condition / Setup Notes

New; The guitar has never been owned, but it’s possible that the lightest handling wear may be found in its delicate and thin (and acoustically lively) finish. Currently set up with string height about 5/64” to 4/64” from bass to treble, but of course easily adjustable under string tension with the supplied wrench. There is minimal relief in the neck, also adjustable via two way rod.

***

A cohesively beautiful guitar, lending itself to a natural or rustic theme with its light oil finish and as a lightweight, purely acoustic guitar. It even has a fortuitous knot that showed itself during carving; not only does the top purfling go through it, the knot itself exits the edge of the plate as a perfect circle, perfectly placed. A lovely detail. Functionally, the Parker-style neck joint stands out, with the string height adjustable quickly and easily, under tension. A very satisfying sound, big and open, with a deeper bass resonance than you might typically expect from an archtop. A great example of a contemporary archtop, with a utility and sound that reaches far beyond any one genre of music.
